While the majority of users like the new Google+ (G+) design, many are complaining about the large block of empty white space that appears to the right of the activity stream. Plussers have created their own #usesforwhitespace meme to discuss the best (or funniest) ways in which to use the extra screen real estate. Popular white spaces uses include multiplayer Tetris, Facebook, Microsoft's Clippy, and a space for animals to sit without blocking your view. Google+ users are sharing a video and joking about what would happen if Microsoft were to build augmented reality glasses like Google is working on as part of its Project Glass. The trending video imitates the style of Google's Project Glass preview video but instead of replicating the seamless AR experience, the user's everyday activities are marred by sign in screens, low battery indicators, installation update alerts and the "blue screen of death." Google+ users are still linking to articles about Facebook's Instagram acquisition and joking that Facebook will use the photo sharing app to "spy on us."
