Top Google+ trends: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup

Cricket fans are excitedly talking about Pakistan and Sri Lanka as the two teams go head to head in the third match of the Asia Cup 2012.

"It is a do or die situation for Sri Lanka they have to win today's game to stay alive in the +Asia Cup 2012," say Google+ (G+) users. The match started at 8 AM GMT on March 15.

Goldman Sachs executive Greg Smith's damning open resignation letter has gone viral and sent Goldman Sachs's shares plummeting. The op-ed piece appeared in the New York Times and stated that the environment at Goldman Sachs was "toxic and destructive."

American TV network CBS has announced that it will renew 18 shows for the 2012-13 TV season including the series 2 Broke Girls, Person of Interest, Mike & Molly, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI, The Mentalist, The Amazing Race and Undercover Boss.

Plussers are talking about America's reality TV singing competition American Idol, after a contestant named Jermaine Jones was disqualified from the show. Popular posts also include links to videos of contestants' performances.  

"Syria" is in the charts for the third day running, moving down one place in Google+'s trending topics to number two.
