Google featured an origami-inspired doodle on its search homepage on March 14 to mark what would have been the artist's 101st birthday, subsequently triggering a torrent of searches for his name. Basketball fans have been using Google search to keep a close eye on matches played by the 68 teams participating in the NCAA (short for the National Collegiate Athletic Association) tournament in 2012. The NCAA Men's Division Basketball Championship is also known as "March Madness" locally. The name of American film director "Jason Russell" has featured in news headlines and Google searches over the past week after the "KONY 2012" director was arrested for allegedly stripping down to his undergarments in public. Searches for "live cricket score" have increased by more than 250 percent over the week as people in India, Pakistan, China and the US searched for live updates from Asia Cup fixtures. Last week the Formula 1 Grand Prix season got off to a racing start in Australia and the South By Southwest Festival came to a close resulting in increased searches for both "F1" and "SXSW" on Google. "Hotmail correo" is the sixth highest rising search term for the week, the forthcoming horror-themed role-playing game Diablo 3 is seventh on the list, and "ösym," the Turkish public body responsible for organizing national university exams, is in tenth place. The search terms with the most significant growth worldwide in the last seven days, as measured by Google Insights and recorded March 19, were: - akira yoshizawa (Breakout*)
